Riba-roja d'Ebre is located on the right bank of the Ebro. The Pena viewpoint is one of the landmarks of the old walled town. The municipality is characterized in its physical configuration by the ravines that supply water to the Ebro, such as the Valls, the Deveses or the Valldabelles, and by the same route of the river, which draws a couple of meanders. The Ebro passes embedded between calcareous tabular platforms that have facilitated the construction of the Riba-roja reservoir, whose surroundings have been declared a space of natural interest.
